In a private conversation, we tend to speak what we want without thinking of any consequences. Usually this is done in a smaller group. However for a public figures and politicians to speak up their minds extra courage is required and bears the responsibility to face the consequences. At their position, speaking openly can be inappropriate. Take Stomp for an example. Everyone could upload pictures and videos. Such information can be publicised and became a topic of discussion. Everyone will start thinking and question why at their position they are speaking such thing. For politicians, publics will have doubts in them. Probably the next election they may not be a choice of support.
Speaking privately can result in a more drastic consequence compared to speaking in public. However, everything the politicians or public says in the public will be very open. The more they should not speak their minds out. Reason being, all they had said will be broadcasted in the public and sometimes internationally. This is when all the doubts and queries set in. Many will start thinking how come this country has such a government ruling them. Can they be trusted and invest in their country? It not only affects the people, it will also affect the country’s well being. Public figures have a high possibility of being quoted, and they might lose their business. The lack of credibility can be a huge obstacle in the future development if the organization.
In conclusion, regardless of whether you are speaking in the public or private conversations, be it the individual is a politician or public figures, they should be careful with the choice of words. But with the fact that we are all humans, it is a nature for us to speak up our mind, and it could be unfair to them. But in their position sacrifices have to be made at times. Therefore, a solution for them will be to prepare for an outcome and process their thoughts before anything could happen to them.
