bilateral relationships

To compete in this globalization world, Singapore has to maintain independent and interdependent. We have to be independent. When all else fails, we don’t. We can’t fail to ourselves, we have to stand strong and save guards ourselves, save guards our nations and our little red dot. Decisions cannot be made by other and we follow. We also have to make our own decisions. If the decisions were to be wrong from the other country and we follow them blindly our little red dot will soon be destroyed in other hands. Therefore, we should save guard our nation and little red dot with our own decisions, I am pretty sure that whatever decision that the Singapore government made the citizens will be in for it and go for it together as one nation.

However, being independent is not enough. Singapore has to make friends with other country. As Singapore has limited resources to support ourselves therefore maintaining interdependent relations will be good for Singapore as well as other nations. An example will be the bilateral relationship with China. Singapore is small however we do not have enough populations. We need populations and China is supporting us with their populations. Many citizens of China had come over to Singapore to work and to settle down. Singaporeans is also going over to China to work and find business opportunities. Singaporeans who are going over also made the effort to study their cultural and learn their languages. This bilateral relationship has been with Singapore for 20 years. MM lee kuan yew hopes that this will continue for another 50years and I am sure that Singapore is able to maintain this bilateral relationship and even go beyond that. However we came just maintains ones relationship but with other nations as well.
